Precursor to the modern ECWS system, the USGI "Bear Suit" was a set comprised of a pair of synthetic pile pants and a jacket. Maligned as bulky by some, these fleece jackets are a blunt answer to brutally cold conditions. 

Designed to be worn below more water-resistant layers, these feature two chest pockets, a zip-up front, and a lower hand pocket. The reinforced elbows and shoulders make these fleeces perfect for outdoor and casual wear.
